Vulcan 6XP

QuickPen recently released Vulcan 6XP, the newest version of their sheet metal nesting and cutting software, which powers Lockformer's Vulcan plasma cutting systems. Based on Microsoft's .NET platform, the program introduces a series of technologies designed to simplify usability and provide for fast, easy customization and flexibility. Vulcan 6XP offers database technology and grid-based interface, designed to give users easy access to job data. The program also includes QuickPen's scoping technology, designed to give users the ability to import and identify field information such as floor, drawing or system. Scoping is intended to allow users to perform detailed analysis of estimated versus actual labor hours and material costs. Other updates include more flexible takeoff methods, advanced labeling capabilities, customizable user-created reports, and the ability to enter and track unlimited job, project and fitting data.
