Weather Defender

Roof America offers a new roofing system designed to extend the life of asphalt shingles. The key to the system is the Weather Defender technology that uses a specially formulated acrylic bonding agent to adhere the roof granules to the asphalt shingle, encapsulating the ceramic granules within a layer of clear acrylic, providing superior granule adhesion and forming a durable, weather-resistant membrane that protects shingles from the deteriorating effects of heat, moisture and prolonged UV exposure.
